Old Hay Barn is a converted 18th Century hay loft and cowshed transformed into a luxury holiday cottage next door to our smallholding on a peaceful country lane surrounded by acres of land on the edge of Hepworth village near Holmfirth at the foot of the Pennines. We've maintained many of the original features, open stonework and beams and added a wood burning stove, hand made doors and a roll top bath. There is a stunning outlook over our fields and woodland with alpacas, goats, hens and sheep. It's a superb base for walking, rambling, cycling or just exploring the beautiful countryside that Yorkshire has to offer. 

It has a tastefully furnished lounge with French doors looking out onto beautiful countryside. The kitchen includes a fridge freezer, dishwasher and utility with a washer/dryer. The dining room is separate with a stunning driftwood table and chairs and a glass partition overlooking the lounge.  Four bedrooms can accommodate upto 8 people plus an infant under 24 months in travel cot, which is provided, in either two Super King or twin beds, a bunk bedroom plus a further quirky twin room under the eaves (height restricted). A downstairs WC and shower and a full bathroom on the 1st floor with a separate shower and roll top bath.

Outside is a patio area with a a solid wooden table and chairs to seat 8 and space under a lit gazebo and a separate patio with sofa seating, a fire pit and an area for disposable BBQ's on our purpose built BBQ. Off Road parking for 5 cars with an Electric Vehicle Charger it's a perfect getaway choice for short breaks, full weeks, special events, romantic trips and family holidays all year round.

We welcome 2 well behaved dogs and provide a large dog crate, dog bed and bowls.

Hepworth is a pretty village with The Butchers Arms pub within walking distance. The nearby village Jackson Bridge also has a couple of pubs.  It's only a mile or so to Holmfirth which is the home of the television series 'Last of the Summer Wine' with it's ample bars, pubs, restaurants, shops and a full calendar of events and Festivals throughout the year.
