Old Hay Barn is a converted Mistal and Hay Loft transformed into a luxury holiday cottage next door to our Smallholding on a peaceful country lane surrounded by acres of land in the village of Hepworth, Holmfirth in the South Pennines.
It has many original features including open beams and exposed stone. With a wood burning stove, reclaimed oak panelled doors, a roll top bath it is full of charm and character. A stunning outlook over sheep and chicken filled fields to woodland it's a superb base for walking, rambling, cycling or just exploring the beautiful countryside that Yorkshire has to offer.
Non smoking and with 4 bedrooms it can accommodate upto 8 people plus a travel cot, which is provided, in either two Super King or twin beds, a bunk bedroom plus a further twin room under the eaves (height restricted).
It has a tastefully furnished lounge with French doors looking out onto beautiful countryside, the kitchen has a fridge freezer and dishwasher, separate dining room with a log banister rail and glass partition overlooking the lounge.
We welcome dogs, so much so we have a special bedroom just for them which includes a dog basket and cage.
Outside we have a hot tub which is for your sole use and isn't overlooked, a patio area with a a solid wooden table and chairs to seat 8 and space for disposable BBQ's on our purpose built BBQ all overlooking our free range chickens, ducks and goats as well as sheep and lambs from March till October. It's a perfect getaway choice for short breaks, full weeks, special events, romantic trips and family holidays all year round.
Hepworth is a beautiful quaint old village with a pub serving local and French cuisine. Only a mile or so to Holmfirth which is the home of the television series 'Last of the Summer Wine' with it's ample bars, pubs, restaurants, shops and a full calendar of events and Festivals throughout the year.
